Science Digest openly admitted in 2009 that there was still a lot of uncertainty about how cadmium affected the body. Are we to believe that the ISKCON leaders, who are criticized by those who promote this rumor as dishonest, lazy and incompetent, knew more about this heavy metal then highly trained chemists did 30 years earlier?
